Beta #2

After a long delay due to my local lab mishandling the sample, around 3pm I finally got the number.

I was at the clinic for an intralipid, which we decided to do even without the second beta number. Afterwards I was scheduling the ultrasound and the fax finally arrived.

339! So slightly more than doubling in slightly less than 48 hours!

I've had a little brown spotting, which I would much prefer not having, but I know it's common so trying not to e stressed about it.

First ultrasound scheduled for May 4!

  2. Congratulations! You have waited a long, long time for this!

The spotting is probably implantation spotting. I had that with both of my BFP's. Do not worry yourself with it. Brown is safe!

  6. Congrats!! It is great reading your blog as I am only three days behind you thus far in pregnancy - Im being a surrogate for my best friends! We shall go through this together! Question - have you experienced massive bloating in your tummy thus far? I have and think its from the progesterone??

    1. Congrats on your pregnancy - what a wonderful gift you're giving your best friends!

Yes, very bloated - I think it's a combination of the progesterone and the dexamethasone that I'm on. It happens every cycle, whether or not I get pregnant. But it definitely makes me look more pregnant than I am at 4w5d. :)
