My husband and I started trying to have a baby in 2007. We ended up doing 5 rounds of IVF with our own eggs, miscarrying twice due to chromosomal abnormalities, and then moved to donor eggs. Our son was born in 2012. After two unexplained miscarriages trying for a sibling, we found a gestational surrogate, who carried our second son (2015) and our daughter (2018).

Cruel
It's so cruel that progesterone side effects mimic pregnancy symptoms. Even knowing that, it's hard not to be hopeful after twinges, sleepiness, queasiness in the morning...
I'm so, so sorry. That's what happened to me my last time - IVF4 BFN. I was so sure I was pregnant that time, because of the symptoms. I almost asked the nurse if there had been some mistake. It does seem unnecessarily cruel - like some master sadist designed the details of IF.
I wanted this so badly for you. I hope the time until your frosty transfer goes as quickly as possible.
An IRL IF friend of mine also got a BFN with a great blast. She's now 4 mo. pregnant with her frosty.
I'm so sorry. There is nothing to do but survive these next few days. Take care of yourself. Know that you are strong enough to keep living. You will get your baby.
I hope you gathered additional information from your RE today. Eager for details to see what you can learn. I am just so broken for you. I had allowed myself to see this as almost a shoe in. I can't imagine how you must feel.
I'm so sorry. I'm just heartsick for you. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteSo so sorry honey. There's nothing more to say xx
